2015 Theme:

Journey of A Lifetime

In the dictionary journey is defined as "an act of traveling from one place to another". Growing through childhood into adulthood is a journey of learning and wonder. Scouting, no matter which organization, offers youth a series of activities and skills to learn that are hard to find anywhere else. From tying knots to building fires to learning to be self sufficient, Scouting offers youth a "journey" to travel in which they learn and think for themselves.   In a world where there are so many other paths that youth can take leading to bad places, it is comforting to know that Scouting is still there and pointing them in the right direction. Join us for the 2015 Barren River Lake Scout Celebration as we celebrate the Journey of Scouting which has directed countless youth for over 100 years!
