2011 Theme:
Peace and Friendship Come Together
Message from the founder:
Peace is a state of tranquility free from hostility or strife. It promotes cooperation in society that allows us work together for a better way of life. Friendship is defined as “A person whom one knows, likes and trusts… who supports a group, cause or movement”.
The Barren River Lake Scout Celebration embodies peace and friendship as the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of the USA come together for the eighteenth consecutive year to demonstrate that which is the core of their beliefs, the “Scouting way of Life”. We see this in their laws, oaths and it will be demonstrated at Barren River Lake on the 13th of August. Come join them and share in the Scouting way of life!
